Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk

By booking with The Pad Van, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

   I understand that climbing, hiking, and the use of rental equipment involve inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury or death. I voluntarily accept full responsibility for my participation.

2. Equipment Use

   I agree to use the rental crash pads and any other equipment properly and at my own risk. The Pad Van makes no guarantee of safety.

3. Personal Responsibility

   I am responsible for my own actions, decisions, and physical condition during climbing or related activities. I will not hold The Pad Van or its staff liable for any accident, injury, or loss.

4. Medical Condition

   I confirm that I am physically fit to participate in climbing and outdoor activities, and that I have no medical conditions that would make it unsafe.

5. Security Deposit

   I agree that a refundable security deposit (¥10,000 per booking) may be authorized on my credit card through Stripe. This deposit will not be charged unless equipment is lost, stolen, or returned with significant damage.

6. Cancellation Policy

   I understand that cancellations made:

• 7 days or more before the booking date: no charge
• 6–2 days before: 50% of the total fee
• 1 day or less before, or no-show: 100% of the total fee

1. Release of Liability

   To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release The Pad Van, its owners, and staff from any liability, claims, or demands arising from my participation or use of equipment.

   Exceptions may apply for natural disasters or other uncontrollable events.
